The internationally acclaimed Guinness World Records Day took place on Thursday 8th November 2007 and has already become bigger than ever - from London to Sydney, Norway to New York, Istanbul to Mexico, it's proved to be a record breaking extravaganza!

We've seen some fantastic record attempts, including the Fastest Time to Pull a Bus 10m With the Ears in London, the Highest Tandem Parasail in South Africa and the Most Paper Aeroplanes Launched Simultaneously in Portugal!

In the USA Texan wild man Jackie Bibby took a Bath With The Most Rattlesnakes, beating his own record of 85 with 87 snakes, while prolific record holder Ashrita Furman smashed his record for the Most Jumps On Stilts, beating his existing title of 109 with an incredible 129.

In the UK Iron man Manjit Singh attempted a new record for the Fastest Time To Pull A Double-Decker Bus With The Ears - pulling a 7.5 tonne route master bus over 10 metres but was unsuccessful - he is ready to try again for Guinness World Records Day 2008. Model Suzannah Sorrell rode 8 husky dogs to victory at Holkham Beach in Norfolk to take the title for the Fastest 100m Dog Sledding, racing through in 10.65 seconds.

South Africa attempted the Highest Tandem Parasail and the Most Steel Cans Collected in One Month, Italy sang throughout the day to break the Longest Singing Marathon, Portugal set a new record for the Most Paper Aeroplanes Thrown Simultaneously and Spain held the Largest First Aid Lesson!
