We Like Meeting People
Madrid's "Single IndLife" is a fair dedicated to the footloose and fancy free among Spain’s single and independent people. But this year, in an attempt to reduce the number of single Spaniards on the loose, the organisers of the fair staged the largest speed dating event in history.
On Saturday November 4 a special area was set aside at the fair in order to stage the introductions spectacular. Two rows of seats were specially arranged to face each other with all the men on one row and all the women on the other.
Working in closely monitored rotation, fifty men and women from all over the country were able to meet and greet and – who knows? –perhaps find that special senor or senorita. But whatever else happens, this is one special date that will be remembered as a Guinness World Record.
