GWR DAY - AUSTRALIA - SYDNEY
Waltzing Matilda
You might look good on the dance floor but how cool would feel in a rubber suit, mask and flippers? On 27 October, a group of scuba divers sank to the bottom of Australia's Olympic Park Aquatic Center in Sydney and danced their way to a Guinness World Record while raising money for charity.
The 74 divers who took on the challenge had to dance simultaneously for at least ten minutes in order to set the record for the largest underwater dance class ever held.
Chris Sheedy, who was monitoring the event for Guinness, made sure that no one sat out the main event and ensured and that all the rules were followed closely, thus ensuring that the event was not a wash out.
