The global headquarters of Guinness World Records are in London, where more than 70 staff members work across all business areas including editorial, digital, content and communications. Our global Records Management team is led from London to ensure record-breaking continuity the world over.
Alistair holds global responsibility for every aspect of the Guinness World Records brand. His impressive 30 year career in business management for global FMCG and entertainment brands has included senior positions at Colgate-Palmolive, the $16bn global leader in health and beauty, and Hasbro, the $4bn global toys and game company. Under his leadership Guinness World Records has diversified its brand offering, expanded its global reach and relevance, while maintaining a market-leading position through continued innovation.
Chief Financial Officer
Alison joined Guinness World Records in 2008 to lead the combined disciplines of the brand’s professional services across Finance, IT, Legal and HR. In the last six years, Alison has executed and supported the successful global expansion of the Guinness World Records brand in Japan, China and the Middle East. Alison began her career at Coca Cola UK Ltd where she qualified as a chartered management accountant. Prior to joining Guinness World Records, Alison spent 9 years at Virgin Retail Limited where she also qualified as a chartered certified accountant, working firstly as the European Financial Controller, overseeing the sale of several overseas subsidiaries before moving into a corporate role as Group Finance Manager, responsible for the consolidation over 30 companies with a combined turnover in excess of $500m.
SVP Global Brand Strategy
Samantha heads global marketing operations for Guinness World Records across the brands four offices worldwide. Her remit encompasses marketing and PR, digital, content, social, mobile and emerging technologies. During her decade-long career at Guinness World Records, Samantha also moved her global role to New York to head the brand’s US operations. In addition to magazine and book publishing, Samantha has headed marketing operations for iconic computer games brands including Electronic Arts and Eidos.
As SVP of Records, Marco adopts global responsibility for all Guinness World Records titles and the worldwide Records Management and Record Adjudications team – giving him one of the world’s most original professions. Prior to joining Guinness World Records in 2003, Marco has established a successful career in marketing and communication based on his linguistics background and fluency in seven languages.
Peter is an MBA-qualified, 20+ year veteran of publishing in North America. As Senior Vice President, Americas, he is responsible for Guinness World Records operations across North and South America. His published career began at MBI, the international licensing and direct marketing specialist, where he worked with brands in the collectibles publishing sector. Following this he spent 15 successful years at Time Inc heading the $50m new product development and innovation business.
SVP Greater China
Rowan joined Guinness World Records in 2011 as President of Greater China with responsibility for overseeing the company’s business in the Chinese speaking world. Rowan has lived in China for more than 25 years and has carved a rich career in the county’s media industries. In 1997, he established his first media consultancy CMM Intelligence – the first independent media services company specializing in mainland China – and the company is now a leading B2B publisher. Rowan is also chairman of the OMI Group and is a respected international media commentator.
SVP EMEA & APAC
Nadine has a 23 year career as a sales professional with core expertise in publishing and retail. Nadine joined the book publishing industry in 1995, following a move to Orion Books, part of the Hachette Group. Since joining Guinness World Records in 2005, Nadine has headed the company’s publishing sales in 22 languages and 100 countries worldwide, and ensured the annual book retains its position as the world’s best-selling copyrighted book of all time.
Erika joined Guinness World Records in 2008 as Business Development Manager for Japanese. Her role was to build the record-breaking business in Japan, as well as representing and protecting the Guinness World Records brand and profile. Following her success in developing new business opportunities in publishing, brand licensing, merchandizing, TV distribution and licensing, the Japanese office grew to a team of ten. In 2012, Erika was appointed Country Leader for Japan to oversee the Guinness World Records office and lead the brand’s country operations.
