The Brief

Japanese property developer Mitsui Fudosan was looking for a headline act to draw people to its Golden Week holiday celebration. This event is held annually in Tokyo Midtown, which is the largest green space in the metropolitan area.

The Solution

Guinness World Records developed ten brand new records in a live event record challenge format. Each record was specifically designed to attract media attention, to be environmentally friendly and to put people in touch with, and on, the parks grassy areas as well as promoting the fair's sustainability message. The partnership is now its fourth year with the Midtown's Record Challenge Roadshow becoming an annual event in Tokyo's Golden Week entertainment calendar.
