Alayna Salter has broken the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest chain of beads! Reaching 80 metres long the “bracelet” wound its way around booths and up onto the stage at the Birmingham Clothes Show Live!

At the same kitchen table Alayna sat for days making patiently the record breaking chain of beads, maybe without thinking at the start, it would have became so long!

When Aalyna approached Guinness World Records with her new record idea the records management team liked it and decided to make it a new category with a minimum lengh of the chain of beads required of 50 metres (164 ft).

The record breaking 80 m (164 ft) long chain of beads  was measured by Guinnesss World Record adjudicator Lucia Sinigagliesi on the 10th of December in Birmingham NEC.

Aalyna said “I was delighted to break the World Record. I really feel this emphasises the quirky element to my funky Jewellery and music.”

Alayna, a designer and musician launched the sweet inspired jewellery range after music fans at her gigs kept asking where she got her distinctive earrings, bracelets and necklaces.

The jewellery’s success on both sides of the Atlantic is just the beginning for Alayna as she is extremely ambitious, and believes that “If you’re brave and have a great idea, use your initiative and just go for it”.
