Sewn all together, and including the 180 flags measuring 177 m², as well as the project’s slogan, 777 YAHVEH ' S BANNER, the entire banner covers an area of 54,451 m².

The giant banner was put together to commemorate some key events: the 40th Anniversary of Israel’s victory of the Six Day War, the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Israel (1957-2007), the centenary of the Christian Revival in Korea, which started in Pyongyang, North Korea (1907– 2007) and together calling for the unity of believers to worship the God of Israel and to pray for peace in Jerusalem.

The banner’s concept was the brainchild of Grace Galindez-Gupana, a 47-year-old Filipino citizen, Christian visionary-leader and dynamic businesswoman. Under her direction, the banner was created by a core Filipino sewing team, with the assistance of 400 others, including Jews, Arabs who all worked together in Masada, Israel (using only two sewing machines, pins and needles and high-tension thread) to stitch together the different flags that made up the giant banner.

The 777 Yahveh’s Banner was unfurled at Masada Airfield, Israel, on 23 December 2007 where earlier, on November 25, 2007, the giant flag of the State of Israel was also hoisted and stamped by the Guinness World Records as the largest in the world.

Ms Andrea Banfi, Records Manager of Guinness World Records, documented the 777 Yahveh's Banner on site and confirmed all dimensions, including a length of 545 m and weight of 13,800 kilograms or 13.8 tonnes.

The aim of the Yahveh’s Banner is that it will be raised every December 25th to commemorate the Halleluyah Feast Global Celebration.
